A New Voyage of Blessing, Unity, and Professionalism — The Maiden Journey of Nauru Manzai
Just after the End of Heat season, under the warm sun and gentle breeze, Nauru Manzai rested at the west pier of Qianzhen Fishing Port—ready to embrace its first great moment. More than simply the launch of another vessel under Fair Well Fishery, it marked the beginning of a new chapter built on faith, unity, and hope.
On the eve of departure, Fair Well Fishery invited Reverend Chen Wu-Chang and colleagues from the Presbyterian Church Seamen and Fishermen’s Service Center to come aboard and offer prayers and blessings for the ship and its crew. The reverend’s words became an invisible shield, carrying peace, courage, and hope to those embarking on the long voyage ahead—bringing spiritual comfort to the days they will spend at sea.

Alongside the solemn blessing ceremony, the ship was filled with warmth and camaraderie. Company staff had prepared a birthday cake to celebrate crew members born in July and August. Everyone gathered in a circle, singing “Happy Birthday” in different languages. Laughter, music, and well wishes blended into a rare and joyful moment.
This simple surprise was more than just a birthday celebration—it was a gesture of encouragement for the entire crew, a reminder that no matter how long or challenging the journey ahead may be, they will carry the warmth of human connection with them across the sea.

Preparing for the maiden voyage involved far more than warm farewells. Each officer and crew member carried out their duties with precision—replenishing supplies and conducting comprehensive fire safety training alongside three major emergency drills. From fire response and extinguisher operation to evacuation procedures, every step was meticulously reviewed and practiced.
We understand that only by holding ourselves to the highest standards can we ensure safety and trust at sea.

On the day of the maiden voyage, the company chairman, accompanied by Chairman Li of FCF and Director Shi of the Marine Bureau, came aboard to inspect the vessel and offer words of encouragement to the officers. Back at the port, company staff gathered to witness this special moment. The crew, full of energy and spirit, shouted the vessel’s name in unison—creating a moving and memorable scene before departure.

Amid cheers and the crackle of firecrackers, Nauru Manzai set off from Qianzhen Fishing Port, carrying not only a bounty of fish but also the full measure of blessings and confidence. More than a vessel, it embodies Hua Wei Fishery’s commitment to safety, respect, and sustainability as it sails into the open sea, embarking on a brand-new chapter.
