Hardware Upgrades, A Warm Departure — Fair Well Fishery’s “Viva Bear 707” Sets Sail for the South Pacific with Blessings
The distant-water fishing vessel “Viva Bear 707”, operated by Fair Well Fishery Group, has set sail for a new fishing season in the South Pacific after a year of meticulous preparation. Carrying heartfelt blessings and renewed strength, the vessel set out with a refreshed and confident presence.
In March of last year, “Viva Bear 707” began a comprehensive refurbishment of key systems, including the main mast and derrick. Every weld and every calibration was carried out with precision to reinforce the vessel’s structural integrity and ensure smoother operations, thereby laying a solid foundation for long-distance voyages. Upon returning to Taiwan, further modifications were undertaken to optimize workflow and enhance onboard safety design. These improvements not only elevate navigation and operational safety, but also reflect the company’s commitment to vessel quality and sustainable development.
Fair Well Fishery Group firmly believes that while vessels are the backbone of the fishing industry, people are its most valuable core. During the maintenance period, the group thoughtfully prepared fresh vegetables and meats tailored to the dietary preferences of multinational crew members, ensuring they felt warmth and care even while far from home. From medical supplies and daily necessities to comprehensive hardware upgrades, every detail demonstrates the group’s genuine care to its crews.
On the eve of departure, the group invited a pastor along with Filipino and Indonesian interpreters to host a warm blessing ceremony and gathering. Amid prayers and laughter, crew members encouraged one another and exchanged wishes for safety, building up confidence and strength for the journey ahead. It was more than a ceremony—it was a meaningful moment that strengthened team bonds.
Now, “Viva Bear 707” sails toward the South Pacific, carrying not only enhanced technical capabilities but also the collective hopes and blessings of many. Fair Well Fishery Group will continue to uphold its core values of safety first and people-oriented management, ensuring that every voyage begins and ends safely, advancing steadily across the vast ocean.
