Upgraded and Ready to Sail:“Win Happy No. 707” Departs for PNG Waters to Launch a New Distant-Water Operation

The distant-water fishing vessel “Win Happy No. 707”, operated by Fair Well Fishery Group, officially departed port on the 31st after completing its annual overhaul and comprehensive equipment upgrades. The vessel has now set sail for the waters of Papua New Guinea (PNG) to commence a new fishing operation, marking the formal launch of a new voyage.

Since entering port last year for scheduled annual maintenance, “Win Happy No. 707” has undergone extensive inspections and system enhancements. During the refit period, Fair Well Fishery Group remained committed to strengthening vessel hardware and improving onboard living conditions, with the aim of enhancing operational efficiency and overall quality of life at sea.

Among the key upgrades, the vessel has been equipped with EU-compliant continuous temperature recording systems, ensuring stable temperature control throughout the entire process from catch to storage. This measure helps maintain optimal product quality and reflects the Group’s strong commitment to food safety and adherence to international standards. In addition, advanced sonar and fish-finding equipment have been installed, enabling the fishing master to more accurately assess fish stock distribution and changing sea conditions. These upgrades not only improve search efficiency but also help reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and operating time, supporting more efficient and responsible fishing practices.

To further safeguard crew welfare, more than one hundred boxes of bottled water have been stocked onboard, and new water dispensers with upgraded filtration systems have been installed to ensure the safety and quality of drinking water for daily use.

In terms of crew accommodation, “Win Happy No. 707” has comprehensively optimized its cabin layout, adopting a four-person cabin design. Each crew member is provided with a customized personal bed curtain to block light and a dedicated shoe cabinet, creating a more comfortable and dignified living environment at sea. Multilingual complaint and assistance channels are also clearly posted onboard, allowing crew members to express their opinions, so that even during long-distance voyages, they can feel a sense of care and security.

Fair Well Fishery Group also places special emphasis on the daily dietary needs of its multinational crew. While the vessel was in port, fresh vegetables were supplied daily, and appropriate meat options were prepared in accordance with different nationalities and cultural practices. These arrangements ensured that crew members could dine with peace of mind, free from concerns, and demonstrated the Group’s people-oriented management philosophy.

With all preparations completed, “Win Happy No. 707”set sail amid warm wishes and encouragement. Fair Well Fishery Group is confident that, supported by well-equipped facilities, a stable operational team, and attentive care for its crew, this voyage will proceed smoothly and return with a bountiful catch—writing a new chapter of shared success for both the company and its crew.
